I am not all sunshine and rainbows.

It will never matter how far I get in life, where I go, what I do, I will always have allergies. They're like an evil sister or something, the one you've got to take with you because no one else wants to be around her. It's fun, we just get someplace important, and she jams a buffalo wing up my nose. As I'm dealing with that, she pushes me over into the sand and jumps on my head, screaming loudly and waving a lit flashlight at me. No one else can really do anything about it, because after all, she's my responsibility.

Mind you, if my allergies really were another person, I could just duct tape her to the refrigerator and go far away.

Sadly, they're not. So here I am at the end of another day where the pills I took for the sneezing did nothing but make my nose run really well. The neighbor's kids probably think I hate them, because I wouldn't look directly at them for fear they would see what was going on with my upper lip and run away. I would like very much to sleep, but that won't happen, because the allergy pill is like SPEED. It doesn't stop the allergies, but I can smash through walls better than the Kool-Aid man.

Now playing on my radio: Bhakti by Ishq on Echoes. Even I'm not sure what I just wrote, but it sounds good.

Ishq means love in either Farsii or Arabic. Farsii, I think.

Allergies suck. I don't ishq allergies.

Allergies are less than entertaining. When I was a child, I had neither allergies nor migraine headaches. I thought that both were 'made up' because I could not envision what either one would be like. Some things in life are like that. I always believed my teachers were lying when they said that gasoline was compressed dinosaurs. Yeah, right. On your planet, maybe.

Now I'm older and I've experienced both migraines and allergies. The migraines seem to have stayed away since nearly crushing my will and sapping my life when I was in my 20's, but the allergies are here to stay and play. This morning, I sneezed more times than I can recall doing in a long, long, time. And my eyes itch, I want to claw them out. And my nose is running, yes. Very nice. I'll bet hypnotists have a hard time doing their jobs when they have allergies.

Oh, yes, and I'm sorry you are not having fun right now. I like to try to enjoy my disabilities, but that's just me.

My allergies have never been bad till I moved to friggin Atlanta, and as far as I can tell everyone either developes allergies here or their allergies get worse. My wife's allergies have gotten worse since we moved here.

Part of it is that it's a bad area for pollen, but mostly it's the really bad pollution and the smog.

It really blows, and it's the main reason we want to move.

HAHA! No, I don't ishq allergies either, but after the pill I took today, I ishq everything.

I think it may be the air. If we can all hold our breath until October, we should make it without having to remove our eyes. Although if we all hold our breath, there'll be no air, and the pollen will just gather around us. There's no easy solution to this.
