Songs of My Misspent Youth: Duel Of The Fates

Ten years.

I spent a lot of time reading the novelization of The Phantom Menace while listening to the soundtrack before the fabled Episode I of Star Wars even opened. I...did shady things to hear Duel Of The Fates as soon as it came out. I had made up my mind I would love the movie and was not disappointed. Episode I was a highlight of my turn of the century, and there are few memories untouched by Star Wars from that time on.

It was time well spent.

That music is da bomb. Shivery.

The Maul-Obi duel in TPM is probably my favorite light-saber fight in all the SW movies. Kickass!

Did you notice that starting at 2:47 of the video, there are two clips of Episode *2* Obi-Wan/Ewan in this montage? "oops"

The way you feel about TPM is how I feel about AOTC. I know it sounds crazy to call anything about SW "life changing," but there you are; it's how I feel.

AW YEAH! I love AOTC too, but it's a whole other set of good memories. I know once we all saw the first one together I just hoped we'd get to see the other two, turns out we did, so that makes looking back at the prequels a lot cooler.

I always thought that bit at 2:47 was Ewan stopping by to see how things were going while growing his hair out for Ep. II. It is strange, being he went to work on Moulin Rouge after TPM, I'd think he'd have looked more like that.

CURIOUS.

I love the thumbnail of the video, I just noticed it's Ewan all happy to be in Star Wars. Aww, the good ol' days. ^_^
